Working in WordPress takes FOREVER with iPage! They desperately need to update their servers!

I hate the rating system here. There is no category for customer service or how happy you are with the company. They have limits they just don't advertise them and their Terms of Service allows them to do anything they want if you're "stressing their systems." They told me they put sometimes THOUSANDS of users on ONE server which explains why my 150 MB file downloaded ten caused them to suspend my account. No, they did not give me any notice at all or warning. They just killed it and emailed me saying they did. Do not go with this company or really any company that advertises "unlimited" services because it's just a flat-out lie. Know what your limits are upfront.

The quota for email accounts is really really terrible and strange. Just in few weeks your email accounts will be overloaded and you do not have any other possibility of downloading emails and delete them from inbox. By this hosting service you will not have an efficient emailing.

Not user frendly, combersome, and out of 248.00 only 111.00 was refundable. I do not, I repeat, I do not recomend ipage to anyone.

I HAD TO TALK TO 4 DIFFERENT PEOPLE AND NONE KNEW THEIR MOUTH FROM THEIR REAR. THEY SOUNDED LIKE ROBOTS AND WEREN'T INTERESTED IN EXPLAINING ANYTHING. IN RETURN THEY ASK THE SAME QUESTIONS OVER AND OVER AGAIN UNTIL THE CUSTOMER GETS FRUSTRATED AND DISCONNECTS. EACH ONE WAS UNABLE TO FIND THE ACCOUNT, ONE EVEN SENT ME A MESSAGE CORRECTING ME WHEN IT WAS THE FIRST USERNAME THAT I SENT TO HIM, HE DIDN'T PAY ATTENTION. I HAVE NEVER EVER BEEN THIS UPSET WITH A COMPANY. AND I FEEL THAT IF THIS IS SOMETHING YOUR ARE LOOKING INTO LOOK OTHER PLACES AND GIVE YOUR MONEY TO A COMPANY THAT REALLY DESERVES IT. DO NOT TRUST THIS COMPANY TO DO YOUR WEB HOSTING FOR YOUR BUSINESS.IF I COULD HAVE GIVEN 0 STARS OUT OF 5 THAT WOULD BE THE SCORE!

When I readed the last comments on this review-site I was thinking I made a mistake moving to Ipage: well. absolutely no ! They helped me moving and corrected all my mistakes, created sql databases and connected them : I was flabergasted how friendly they did the job.I asked for help and less than 12 hours later my site was working (perhaps less: it was night for me and I was sleeping while they made the job!) The only minus point could be they are not the fastest one : it takes about one second more loading than with my precedent hostprovider but I am in Europe and perhaps a local provider should have been faster. So, if you want a hostprovider,Ipage is an excellent choice.

iPage sounds good at first: unlimited everything, money-back guarantee, low monthly costs, 24/7 customer service, etc But it is all a very deceptive facade: - the unlimited isn't as unlimited as one would think. Email accounts are limited to max 250Mb each, if you go over 1Gb of monthly traffic they start sending warnings, if you go over 1Gb of disk storage they start checking your databases and files. - the anytime money back guarantee is a ruse, their TOS clearly state (at point 2, about cancellation) that for early cancellation requested by you there must be a 30 day prior notice and a cancellation fee of minimum $35 must apply. So unless you cancel at least a year in advance, it's not worth it. - the low monthly fee is only a sign-up fee. After your signup the monthly fees more than double - the customer service is terribly incompetent. For any piece of info you need, it must be pulled out from them. Also, their technical service knows nothing about how HTTP works, what a referrer is. They boast with PHP, but their service knows nothing of what superglobals are (example: I was storing referers to check traffic sources, they shut down my account because one day I got 3 visitors from a pr0n site - I tried to explain to them that their server offers referrer info and it's not my fault I got those visits, but it's like talking to a wall). Right now I'm waiting for my hosting to expire.

I will once more review your account on ,Wednesday 18th please make any changes by that time. Thanks Zach P Corporate Support So much for unlimited space ... I outgrew there average user and they threatened to simply delete my files. Buyer beware ....

Attempted to register a domain + hosting with Ipage a few months ago using Paypal, the site told me there was an error and refused to let me pay instead referring me to customer support services. I instantly loaded up their live help chat tool, which may as well be renamed the 'we-have-no-idea' tool. They bounced me back and forth, placing me on hold on and off for a grand total of 40 minutes before I finally tired of their constant lack of help and gave up. The support staff clearly have no idea what they are doing and when you query anything they say or perhaps state that you are unhappy they respond with rude and unhelpful comments. I attempted to register again a few days ago on behalf of a friend who wished to run a very small and simple website about his cleaning business. Once again, the paypal payment did not go through but this time apparently it was suspended for security reasons whatever they may be. Grudgingly, i went back to the live help chat tool and the support staff refused to give me a straight answer about why my paypal payment had been refused, before playing a game of 20 questions with me over why i was attempting to register the domain as though I was some sort of criminal. Overall I spent 10 minutes actually talking to their help staff and a total of 25 minutes placed on 'hold'. Clearly a company that can't even process payments correctly, after seeing them fail miserably at accepting my payment not once but TWICE it's pretty clear to me that this would have only be the start of a whole raft of problems. Stay away from this hosting company, it may look cheap but the problems it will cause you are not worth it!
