I've been using omnis continuously for the last 3 years and currently have over 6 domains that I've registered through them. One includes web hosting, databasing and e-mail hosting and the others incorporate their DNS management tools. OMNIS IS UNMATCHED IN SUPPORT AND FEATURE-SET. Their capabilities are amazing and for half of the price of their competitors. The uptime is astonishing as I have never been done and they've even helped me setup my dns records on their host. Any software changes I've asked for if within reason they always accomodate (how many companies will do that for you? not many!) And their positive mind-set and attitude while either on the phone or e-mail is always great to work with. They offer the most bang for the buck and should definitely be considered a true option for web hosting and or serious competition for the biggies such as game, godaddy, and even network solutions.OH, they also offer a shared SSL! Which saves you some serious! Omnis Rox!

Omnis's tech "support" is abysmal. Whether by telephone or email, it consists of nothing more than a sweatroom full of immature post-adolescent brats who show complete disdain for having to take time away from their videogame addiction to talk with you. But they know their geeky computerese better than you, and they're very proud of that and will be sure to lord it over you as they hasten to end the communication and get back to their videogames. If you're into feeling insulted, if you're into being made to feel worthless, if you're that kind of self-loathing masochist, try calling these punks. They'll do the trick for you.

The whole unlimited thing is clearly misleading. These people used to give me decent service but clearly something is up of late. I pay for a the following service : site Package: Unix Hosting Max Disk Space: 600 GB Data Transfer: 3,500 GB per month Email Account Limit: Unlimited POP3/IMAP4 This costs 56$ every 3 months..not cheap by any standard. a few days ago they limited my service without warning and when asked repeatedly about why this was my response: Dear Customer: The hosting package you have is limited to 600GB of disk space usage. It doesn't mean you can use that 600GB without other limitations. Our hosting policy says: "The real time resources allotted to an account are dynamically controlled based on the amount of overall resources used by the account" . . . "real time resources include but are not limited to bandwidth, MySQL connections, email connections, system CPU, and system RAM." DO NOT HOST WITH THESE PEOPLE.

I've been with www.omnis.com for over ten years! In my 61 years, I've never experienced the level of service consistently rendered by www.omnis.com. My website has never been 'down', any technical issues I've created, they've fixed instantly or overnight! I'm such a 'devoted fan & customer', I've signed up two other clients I represent with websites on www.omnis.com! The service & features they offer is unparalled! EXTREMELY SATISFIED with www.omnis.com. I Highly Recommend Them to Anyone needing a Presence on the world-wide-web!

Omnis "unlimited" is clearly not unlimited. Without notice, Omnis placed a throttle on my site which took me from very good speeds for years to a point where loading a simple 20k page took over a minute. Here is their response: "Your web site is using 11.2 GB of disk space. The average is 254MB with the maximum normal usage being 2.0GB. Your usage is 5 times greater then the normal so your resources were limted in the 5th highest or 5th (of 10) most limiting tier." We never experienced a problem with speed until now, and they chose to lie to me. We have had great speeds for years up to a few days ago. They claim "Your web site has been in one of the limiting tiers for some time. It only recently hit a tier where the bandwidth limit was below what you normally use. You should ensure that the disk space used is only for what is necessary to operate your web site." Horse puckies. They took the time to create an elaborate lie. Run away.
