GoDaddy Review

I was happy until a few months ago when I went to the new GoDaddy's 4GH Hosting system for all my wordpress sites on a shared server. I tried many things including fresh installs of a site to make sure it wasn't me! Grrrr is all I can say after all that wasted time to figure that I am now pretty sure it is the new servers are just really, really slow. Here I go again to move them all again. bummer. I wish they had cpanel style controls as I can seem to find them anywhere either. Another bummer for all the affiliate sites etc that I am are trying to get online quickly...

Despite filing paperwork, initially and follow-up, service would only act on 1 of 5 related domains. They keep insisting I need to start over with my filing. Which part of "I do not want your service" do they miss. Reminds me of the old days when one tried to cancel an AOL subscription!!!! No integrity. Service sucks.

On multiple occasions I tried to view my website I created myself through Dreamweaver and it wouldn't work. When I called support they said it was because the server I was hooked up to was down. That should never happen and if it does there should be a back-up provided. It's nerve racking when your're applying to jobs and you go to look at your portfolio website and it is not there. They also charged me for the renewal of my domain after I turned auto renew off. All in all, I recommend going elsewhere for any hosting and domain needs.

WORST customer Service! Brought all of my domains up to renew and discontinued others several months ago with the support of a customer service representative. Last week a cancelled domain was renewed without my consent. When I asked for a refund they said it was my fault, they couldn't be responsible for what customer service helped with. REALLY??!! Taking my business elsewhere. THIS COMPANY HAS NO INTEGRITY!

The go-daddy set up can only be described as gangs of questionable characters judging by the very fraudulent ways they operate. You see their websites full of high sounding pep talks ut if you are foolish enough to fall for them you'll surely regret. We are now begining to see how they make up for their so-called low price offers. Shameful Rip-offs.

They used to be the best, out for the customer, ready to help and great prices.. now they are just like a scam site.. to buy one domain you have to click through like 30 sales pitches for things you dont want. Then I turned off auto renew on a website I no longer needed and they not only left it on, but charged me 2 years worth of domain hosting totaling $25! I called in and the customer service was the worst I've ever encountered. He basically talked down to me like I was an idiot and that they could care less that I've been a customer of theirs for over 10 years. He was rude and I no longer wish to be a customer of theirs. I'm sick of the games, I'm sick of the lack of customer service. (They can do nothing for me even though its their fault!) If you want to lose your money or get scammed or just deviously oversold on accident and then they have no control because they sent the money to the registrar.. then by all means choose them. If not go somewhere else (ipower.com)

I am very disappointed with GoDaddy. They have shown a clear lack of knowledge and interest on helping me with issues relating MX records (emails). I beg anyone trying to buy cheap not to go with this company. Spend an extra pound or dollar with any other register.

Dear People, We are an Istanbul/Turkey based web design and hosting company. As a service we buy domains from instra,marcaria,onlinenic etc.. and re-sell to our customers. On 02 March 2012 I was checking a domain (trafficsolutions.biz) for a customer of mine on the Go Daddy's (www.godaddy.com) web page to register. Unfortunately as soon as I checked that domain Go Daddy registered that domain on their name and now they are selling it at a price of USD 750. No matter what you believe in or not we should have some moral principles as human beigns to live in peace and sur survive. This is not capitalism or open market rules or whetever... this is exactly what we call immorality. And unfortunately this is not the first they do this and I am pretty sure that it wont be the last if they are not stopped. I do not have any contact to sent my complaints that's why I am writing to here. Best Regards, Atil Yalcin

It is very slow most of the time, it is not only during peaks. Also they try to sell you everything at all times, very annoying. The Panel to control everything sucks, it looks like a spam website. Installing applications (Joomla, Wordpress... can take forever) Not recommended for business, maybe for a blogger with a few visits a month. You get what you paid for!

Support is very average, they do not take any responsibility. Dishonest and very gimmicky hosting plans. Incredibly slow when hosting Wordpress. Go elsewhere, do get burnt.
