Web Hosting Reviews, Ratings and Awards since 2004!
I'm a web designer with 50+ active accounts so I need a reliable webhosting service. Over the years I have used many webhosts mainly because some of my clients already have a webhost. I have found Fatcow to be the best in customer and technical support, as well as billing support. Wait time to talk with a rep has never been more than 10 minutes and that is rare as most calls are answered within minutes. I love Fatcow so much that I have transferred my own personal websites as well as most of my clients domains to Fatcow hosting services. Their annual renewal prices are low and competetive, the cPanel is very user-friendly, and they offer many security features such as website backups, domain privacy, and SiteLock to protect your site from hackers. There are many marketing services help to get your site noticed, blogs, unlimited mailbox, bandwidth & storage, user-friendly site builders...it's all there! From the novice user to the expert user Fatcow fills every need. FATCOW ROCKS!

You get what you pay for. The price is very cheap but the tech support suffers with Fatcow. For every day use, their services provide the new hosting client a way in at an affordable price. The Plesk interface is user friendly and easy to find tutorials for. If you are a web host novice, you might want to try a different company. Perhaps one that doesn't limit your access files or one that doesn't oversell their space. Overall, Fatcow is an acceptable hosting company for new users, I keep some clients with them.

FatCow presents a very well designed and branded website and provides all of the hosting features that you would expect. However, there are some serious technical issues to be aware of: FatCow blocks the null-sender email address (which is required to work by section 5.2.9 of RFC1123) which will prevent you from receiving bounce messages or sending email to servers which perform null-sender based checks (e.g. gnu.org) unless specifically whitelisted. To exacerbate this problem, the tier 1 (and possibly tier 2) tech support is unaware of this policy, or how email works... The FatCow account cancelation procedure is abysmal. They will charge you $35 to cancel, will not remove DNS information from their servers, and will host ads on the domain. This will not affect most users/servers, but any servers using the FatCow nameservers for name resolution will get invalid information. I have spent over 2 weeks with many phone calls and chat sessions to attempt to fix this to no avail.

I have had fatcow unfortunately for about a year now, It's probably the worst host anyone could possibly stubmle across, even though this site's reviews say otherwise. Either that or I was placed on a bad server or something. My site was down constantly, I use vBulletin on my website so my inbox had at least 50 mails a day saying that there was an error because there are too many connections or something. When I contacted the support about this they were of no assistance, all they did was either claiming that the site was working fine, and if they did see the error once in a while they made a support ticket so a guy two weeks later could check if the error was still there, Which of course, it wasn't. At some point they did fix it for about two weeks, but it started again. The software is a little confusing, some features don't work, at least they didn't when I set the site up, I hadn't had much chance to test it after I had given up developing a site that's offline half the time.

I liked that FatCow was local, wind-powered and had lots of bad cow puns. What I didn't like was that my hosting rate more than doubled after the first year, and how when I tried to live chat with customer service I would frequently get cut off/disconnected. Off to fine another hosting provider, sigh...

I wanted to create a website without learning html language or purchasing software that would take weeks to learn how to use. For relatively straight forward websites, I would recommend FatCow. The 24 hour on-line support is particularly useful.

Been using FatCow for a little over a year now after getting fed up with godaddy. Customer support has been prompt and helpful, and the backend console is simple to use. On top of that, the price is right. I have no complaints and no plans of changing
