Web Hosting Reviews, Ratings and Awards since 2004!
listed price is for first year only , they won't tell you untill you pay and view your account then you learn that they will automatically charge you credit card after 11 months for the next year double th eoriginal price. That means that the advertized price is fake !!!
So if you paid $44 USD first year, your next year will have "regular" price of $88 USD. they won't tell you when you pay until you view your account later on.

I have been trying to look for reasonable hosting and I came to fatcow. The reviews made it seem pretty good but after I started putting my site up it started to get SLOWER AND SLOWER. It took 7+ seconds to load an HTML website. I contacted support and they told me it was something with my website. Now see it was HTML, basic text, simple... and it wasn't even up for 24 hours!!! Not sure whats going on over there. My best guess is that they have too many people per server but who knows. There billing support tried to catch me for a $30 charge for canceling my account until I told them I had the account for less than 24 hours... I told them this TWICE!!! Maybe they just don't read the chat box, I dunno. Overall, not happy with them for the 18 hours I had them for. Currently in process of looking for a new host.

We have been a Fatcow customer for at least seven years now and for the last two as they add new features the service becomes more unstable. We are down once again both e-mail and website. This is the third total outage in two months. I just got off the phone with them and they assured me that there is no issue at all. So I guess I'm imaging the page not loading? Go figure. I'm done and moving on to some other company. I can not afford to have our website down for hours on end. Our average unit price if $150K. One missed sale can be devastating. They don't even offer service credits when there is an issue. Come on! In this economy you better start bending over backwards to please your customers of they, like I, will move on.

After signing up with Fat Cow, I was a little trepidatious as my real propeller hasn't spun in quite some time. Needless to say Dayna, helped me out and gave me a little shove in the right direction. WOW! I'm off to the races. So a big COW-Size thanks to Dayna and all the services reps there. I'm sure this will work out great ,,,,,,,and please pay all the service reps an additional million dollars this year....hey, it worked for AIG!

I have been a customer of Fat Cow for 6 years. Only to discover that some time ago they lowered their pricing but did not pass on the savings to their most loyal customers. I won't lie, their technical support is excellent. But their customer service needs improving. When I contacted Fat Cow regarding the pricing I got " sorry for the inconvenience, but there is nothing I can do" when I told them I was canceling, still nothing. Their cancellation policy definitely socks it to you. Even though I'm only in the first month of the year of service I paid for, I'll only get back about half of what I paid. It's still enough for me to get web hosting elsewhere for a year. (Hint: They ranked higher on the list than Fat Cow and with the same or more services) Beware of Fat Cow and read all the fine print. I'm surprised in this economy they would rather lose a customer than give them what they are owed.

I was there for about a week. It seems that they have issues with FP extension. One time I was able to upload, although it took several tries. Thereafter, whenever I tried to upload with FP, I would get error codes about no extensions. Many attemps to correct, but they did not get it corrected; at one point they wanted to me turn the firewall and anti-viruses while uploading....right... I was able to cancel...now to find another hosting.

You are better off hosting your website on an Etch & Sketch than with Fatcow. Fatcow's load times are horrendous and their support is worthless. FTP sessions even time out due to server issues ... ridiculous! Support is incapable of admitting there is a problem or updating the user community. Everything is running "NORMAL" just means SNAFU. Save your money, save the frustration, save your sanity and host elsewhere.

I canceled my Websitesource account last week after 7 or so years of service. I canceled Justhost after 2 days of service. Some fellow Apple users recommended Fatcow, I took the plunge...very happy so far. 1 - For me, the annual cost is a bit more than justhost, and much less than websitesource. 2 - Interfacing with clients via FTP is MUCH easier than with Justhost's convoluted log-in methods. For someone working in audio/video, ease of use is IMPERATIVE. 3 - Tech support is LIVE and fast. The reps are very nice, ala websitesource's reps a few years back. Also, the reps actually directly answer your queries unlike justhost, who seem to provide generic, unhelpful answers, and websitesource, who these days try to blame everything on you and/or hackers. 4 - Fatcow's vibe is much more relaxed than other hosts, and they seem more concerned about helping paying customers. 5 - Within 3 hours of signing up, my site is running in all aspects! So far so good, but time will tell!

As web designer I tried many different hosts and found that there's no perfect one. However, FatCow does a really good job. They are honest with you… each time I call their support I get someone from North America. I had to cancel couple accounts with FatCow since my clients didn't need them - never had a problem, got my money back. Strongly recommend.
