IPower is Terrible
"I signed up with Ipower a long time ago. At first, when they used cPanel, it was working just fine. Then they got the bright idea to migrate their servers and install their own crappy control panel, vDeck. What a steaming pile of garbage. So, even though I had alot of time left on my contract with them, I migrated all of my sites to other webhosts. Now, almost a year and a half later, I figure I'd upload a not-so-important site to my unused IPower account... and it's still a steaming pile of garbage. Nothing but bugs with their control panel... can't even SSH to try and fix the problems at the shell. Need to count on their crap software and hope it communicates properly with their servers. With SO many choices of web hosts out there... really, there is no reason to go with IPower."

STAY AWAY FROM IPOWER TODAY
" From the web page and whats there it looks like a safe place to buy web space but its really not. The first thing is that all correspondence accept the first day that you buy your web hosting is done with an English speaking here in usa, but any day after that you have to deal with people from the Philippines who cant speak english well, and there is lots of back ground noise during the call. So not only can you not make out what the rep is saying but you can barely even hear what they are saying. I had issue with email control panel.. basically it sux so I asked for a refund... this was back in late march early april 2009. Today is june 22 2009 and I have not received my refund yet. I cant get anybody to talk to me about the refund anymore. I dont recommend ipower to anybody unless your looking for a bad tech support and bad billing issues to deal with. And having to wait to speak to somebody who cant even solve the problem is a slap in the face every time you call."

Ipower Sucks ---Stay Away
"I used them for 1+yrs when I initially started developing websites. Moreover, as I started developing more advance sites, the more problems I noticed with there server. STAY AWAY IF YOU PLAN TO HAVE AN ECOMMERCE SITE. "

Not worth the trouble!
"I have hosted several sites with iPowerweb. Way back when, they were a good hosting service. Then they went to a new server format and everything went to crap. Their tech support is "OK", but, the billing support is terrible! I had canceled a domain that was due to renew and received my cancellation confirmation. Guess what, I was renewed anyway! When I spoke with billing (3rd party service, BTW), I was told it was a technical glitch and, whereas they would cancel the hosting account, there was nothing they could do about the domain renewal. Which is what they claimed to be the "technical glitch". Run, run, run away from this company!"

Cheap web hosting - at a price.
"ipower is cheeeeep. But the average tech there doesn't know diddley. You have to wait to get somebody who knows what they're doing. And I mean wait. We've been with them for about 5 years. There were about 3 major outages that lasted a day or so. They give lots of space for the money. What the hell else do you want for 6.95 a month? It's got php!!! And MySQL!!! "
